    Description

COMPENDIOUS GEOGRAPHICAL DICTIONARY CONTAINING A CONCISE DESCRIPTION OF THE MOST REMARKABLE PLACES (etc. etc.) and A VIEW OF THE NEWTONIAN SYSTEM OF THE PLANETS. And that means only six planets, which was all they had discovered then.
This is an amazing little book. 1793 information on the various countries, their monetary systems, and the amazing little fold out maps full of place names we have never heard before. Stories and descriptions and more. The North American continent doesn't look like that map today!
You know that geek friend who can whip out his/her phone and look up any facts about any conversation?  This must have been that sort of resource for someone two hundred thirty one years ago! Of course since the publication date is 1793, the information is older than that. Some of the maps likely are based on exploration considerably before that date, for example.  Take a look at the photos. All the foldouts are shown, but of course the hundreds of pages of the rest are there as well.
Will ship anywhere in the known world using modern era maps.....
