BIG 1860 INK HAND DRAWN MAP of RUSSIA SIGNED C. E. BECKE in ENGLISH LANGUAGE,
Description:
Old Antique 1860 Hand Drawn Pen & Ink Map of Russia by C.E. Beckel.  Notice detailed markings on mountain regions and rivers.  Appears to be Northern Russia near the Arctic circle.  Name of person drawing the map appears in the lower right corner in the form of a handwritten label applied to the original map. Approximate size is 15" x 20-3/4".  Found in southeastern Pennsylvania (United States).  Condition: light soiling and foxing.  Tape repairs on front lower right due to deterioration caused by acid erosion on the heavily inked area.  tape reinforcement on the back.  Few edge tears across the bottom approx. 1".  As found condition.  Please see photos for additional condition review.  Questions welcome!
