    Description

    his doll was given to me by a friend in very rough shape as she knew I enjoyed dolls.  As she was a signed and numbered doll, (I could only make out the name "Amy" and that she was one of about 18,000 made in 1999.  I could not make out the signature)  So, she's not a OOAK art piece, but she made me laugh and have some fine memories of my own childhood and those of my daughters, and she might bring about the same for someone out there.  She has been thoroughly cleaned and her oversized clothes she's trying on are different than the originals.  I added some extra strands of pearls and new garish earrings and a great new hat (Isn't that rose the best?)  Her pig-tailed wig is also new.  The dress and coat are both clean and ready to go.  I think she is a wonderful reminder of childhood for all of us, whether for ourselves or our own little ones.  She would make a great, if funky, addition to any doll lover's collection.
